Bernard Lewis, AIPAC and London’s World War III

A recent Ha’aretz report emphasized the guiding hand of Dr. Bernard Lewis behind Bibi Netanyahu’s push for thermonuclear World War III, and this is of particular significance in the run-up to Sunday’s start of the AIPAC war council session in Washington. Bernard Lewis, now in his early 90s, is one of the top British intelligence hands on the Middle East. He graduated from the School of Oriental Studies at the University of London prior to World War II, and then went into British military intelligence in the Middle East and later into the Arab Bureau. When he returned to London, following the war, he was made the Chairman of the Oriental and African Studies School at London University, itself a top British intelligence posting. He came to the United States in 1974 and immediately became the top Middle East policy advisor to Kissinger, Brzezinski, and Sam Huntington.

Lewis coined the term "clash of civilizations" three years before the Huntington book was published, and he was the top Middle East "outside" advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney, during the war drive in the Middle East. As early as August 2006, Lewis was forecasting an Iranian nuclear attack on Israel, claiming that Iran had been secretly building a bomb for decades. It was this message that he brought to Netanyahu, to drive the already crazy Jabotinskyite totally off the deep end as a pure puppet of London’s war drive.

Now the stage is being set for Netanyahu to arrive in Washington for the AIPAC Nuremburg rally, and one of the leading organizers of that event is none other than Bernard Lewis’s son Michael, who has been the director of AIPAC’s secret Research Analysis unit since the mid-1980s. The unit that Michael Lewis heads is responsible for gathering the blackmail files on Members of Congress and other top policy makers.

If there is any confusion that the drive for World War III is coming from London and nowhere else, just watch the four- minute video interview that Bernard Lewis granted to MSNBC in 2009. Lewis declared that we have reached the final battle in a 14-century-long war between Christianity and Islam, that will end in a global showdown in the very near future. In the late 1990s, Lewis had been one of the first people to spotlight Osama bin-Laden, whom he described as one of the greatest poet-warriors of Islam. At one point, he translated bin-Laden sermons, touting them as some of the greatest literature in the history of Islam.
