British Crown’s Final Assault against the Canadian Wheat Board

(CRC)—In a move that forebodes more hardships for Prairie farmers already facing a difficult situation, the Harper government, on August 1st ended the fruitful decades-long monopoly of the Canadian Wheat Board on western wheat and barley sales. The Committee for the Republic of Canada has had a long-standing policy of support for the CWB, as an article by Rob Ainsworth, which appeared on January 26, 2007 in EIR magazine, attests.
