Kesha Rogers On the Ground at Houston’s Johnson Space Center

Two-time democratic nominee for U.S. Congress (TX-22), Kesha Rogers, weighs in on the urgent necessity for a revitalization of the U.S. space program. One of the few national missions large enough which could serve as an antidote to the crumbling cultural and economic wasteland now subsuming the United States!

KESHA ROGERS: Hello everyone, this is Kesha Rogers with the LaRouche PAC Policy Committee, and I’m here today at NASA’s Johnson Space Center, where I was six years ago, when I launched a campaign for the U.S. Congress, calling for the impeachment of President Barack Obama for his breakdown and dismantling of the manned space program, privatization of the manned space program, and destroying what was a vision of our nation under President John F. Kennedy. The commitment to a real science driver was Kennedy’s intention.

And what we’ve seen for the last six years, under President Barack Obama and also under President Bush, is a continued degeneracy of our culture, a hopelessness, and despair. We’ve seen record numbers and increase in suicides, increase in drug abuse coming from people before who would be more affluent and well off, particularly those people that look at minority community as that which would be affected by the epidemic of drugs; now, it’s those in the white community between the ages of 25 and 35 to 45 years old.

And why has this happened? It has happened because we have taken away a vision, we have taken away a sense of mission. We don’t have a science driver in the nation any longer, and that is because of the intentional policy of President Barack Obama and the intentional policies of destroying this nation through the capitulation to Wall Street. And so now, we have a situation where our young people are in great despair, great hopelessness.

And it’s not just young people! It’s the fact that the people of this nation right now have been given no opportunities. The greatest economic disparity and disaster has hit our nation; the entire trans-Atlantic financial system is bankrupt.

And what is the solution? Well, China is proposing a solution. China is giving a "win-win" strategy of a great mission of collaboration, to look at and inspire, not just China, not just the United States, but the entire world, that we can collaborate on great projects such as the mining of the Moon, looking at the Moon as the launching pad, once again, of the entire exploration of space, understanding man’s role, humanity’s role in the Galaxy. That is what we have to inspire mankind by.

And if we do that, we can shut down Wall Street, and we can actually have the necessary credit, in place, as Alexander Hamilton had intended, that we don’t have to worry about going to Elon Musk, or any of these other people, with their giant money bank, that’s already bankrupt anyway. So we can actually do as Kennedy did, as Franklin Roosevelt did, and we can use the credit necessary to build a science-driver and a great mission for this nation once again.

We can make sure that our young people are not taking their lives, that they are given a vision, with a real culture. That science-driver would make sure, that we can power the Earth, with the helium-3 from the Moon for some generations to come. We’ll make sure that people are inspired, not just by a science-driver, but a science driver which is connected to a great culture, a great music culture, as Mr. LaRouche has launched in our Manhattan Project in New York. And we can unify those two forces together, and give once again, the inspiration and the commitment to the progress of mankind that was once the beacon of hope that inspired all mankind and bring the United States back to the forefront of that type of vision, once again.

Thank you.
