Project Phoenix—Aleppo: The Eternal City

LPAC—Throughout history, Aleppo has witnessed many moments of greatness as well as decline and turmoil, but it always arose again like the bird of the Phoenix. The people and government of Syria have kept the same spirit alive in the face of the worst crisis in the history of the country. Here we review a proposal for the reconstruction of Syria called Project Phoenix, focusing on how Syria, which enjoys an ideal position at the crossroads of three continents, can benefit from connecting to the New Silk Road and the emerging World Land-Bridge.
