While Obama vacationed and kept a killer austerity policy in place for Hurricane Irene, FDR mobilized an army of the unemployed, plus the U.S. military, plus private, volunteer, and charity agencies, and communities, to fight this disaster and others throughout the U.S. The contrast is shocking.
