Initiatives / Interventions Back to previous selection / Retour à la sélection précédente Day of Action Outside the United Nation’s International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) Building in Montreal 18 January 2020 CRC - In a morning deployment on Wednesday, January 15, from 7:45 AM to 9:15 AM, four organizers distributed approximately 175 copies of the Schiller Institute ’Call for Presidents Trump, Putin and Xi to Convene an Emergency Summit to Address the Danger of War’ to people working at the ICAO building in Montreal. One organizer did a targeted distribution of the two-sided bilingual leaflet, at the entrance to the underground parking lot to the UN building, holding a sign with the title of the leaflet. Twenty heads of national delegations eagerly opened their car window to get the leaflet. Approximately another 15 leaflets were also distributed that way to regular IACO office employees driving into the ICAO garage. The other three organizers were positioned near a street corner covering two different stairway entrances to the ICAO building. They got out another 140 leaflets into the UN-IACO agency building. Mrs. Zepp-LaRouche’s call was also Emailed out to steering committee members of an African subcommittee of the ICAO at the international headquarters in Montreal, and then from another list, to technical specialists and bureaucrats from offices affiliated with the ICAO on five continents. Following the morning’s UN deployment, another 200 copies of the call were distributed inside the Metro Station the nearest to the ICAO and then at Concordia University. Over the last few days, Montreal sent out Mrs. Zepp-LaRouche’s Call to 139 of the UN Missions in Manhattan NY along with an introductory letter, which will also be translated into French for Emailing to another 33 francophone UN Missions as soon as possible. Together with Emails sent out by Richard and the Spanish version being sent out, all 193 UN Missions will be covered. (RAH/GG)
